    Rebel State Historic Site

    This site marks the location where an unknown Confederate soldier was killed by three Union cavalrymen in the Civil War era. A local family buried the soldier and cared for his grave for nearly 100 years after his death. The site features a picnic area with kitchen facilities, a museum and outdoor exhibits.
