    Alligator Park

    This five-acre park is filled with hundreds of alligators and six feeding shows daily, a gift shop, a snack shop, a petting zoo and Cajun music. The park is open seven days a week from 10am to 6pm, April 15 through October. The park features access for the disabled and group rates. All major credit cards are accepted.

    Briarwood Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve

    Located between Saline and Campti, Louisiana, the Briarwood Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve is a botanical and wildlife sanctuary visited by college, university and high school groups, as well as horticulturalists from around the world. The preserve is open to the public by guided tours every weekend in March, April, May, August and November.

    Louisiana State Arboretum

    Natural growth and planted indigenous vegetation is found here, much of it labelled for visitors. The varies terrain allows for most types of Louisiana vegetation (except for coastal marshes). Miles of trails have been constructed, along with bridges. Facilities and picnic grounds are available at nearby Chicot State Park.
